Richard Lucien, CPA
Chief Executive Officer
Ric brings to Lucien & Co. more than 30 years of executive and strategic financial management experience. He has served as CFO and in executive management capacities in both public and pre-public companies where he has helped raise over $150 million in public and private financings. His broad based experience includes significant M&A and cross-border M&A transactions and the management of the finance, human resource, IT, legal, facilities, outsourced manufacturing and administrative organizations of multi-subsidiary international companies. Prior to forming
Lucien & Co., Mr. Lucien was Chief Financial Officer of Remend, Inc., a pre-public on-demand business software applications company. Previously Mr. Lucien served as a Senior Interim CFO and Management Consultant with The Brenner Group, Inc., providing executive management guidance and financial expertise to a variety of both public and private companies ranging in size from zero to $400 million in annual revenue, including Business Objects, Chordiant Software, CTT, Inc., Centrata, Inc. Lumina Decision Systems, Encirq Corporation and Lifespring, LLP. He has served as Vice President of Finance and Chief Financial Officer at Boostworks, Inc. and Senior Vice President of Finance and Operations, Chief Financial Officer at Centura Software Corporation (Nasdaq: CNTR). Prior to Centura he served in Corporate Controller and executive management positions at Berkeley Systems, Inc., Spectrum Holobyte, Inc. (Nasdaq: SBYT) and Nellcor, Inc. Mr. Lucien has a total of six years public accounting and consulting experience at Deloitte & Touche (DTT, Osaka, Japan and TR&Co., San Francisco), where he supported clients from a variety of industries in both audit and corporate finance capacities. He is a Certified Public Accountant (California) and holds a BS in Business Administration from California State University, Hayward.

Andrew L. Wasserman
Senior Manager

Andy Wasserman has thirty years of experience in a broad variety of industries, including twenty-five years as CFO/CIO of companies ranging in size from $15 million to almost $200 million in sales.  Mr. Wasserman has a passion for assisting CEOs in developing and refining their companies’ business models; translating them into strategic goals and quantifiable objectives; and implementing best-of-breed operational procedures and financial and information technology infrastructures in support of those goals and objectives.  As part of this process, he brings particular expertise in the requirements planning, selection, and implementation of ERP systems, as well as the design and implementation of data warehouses.  Mr. Wasserman was a Senior Consultant with Main Hurdman & Cranstoun (now KPMG), where his clients included the Port of Oakland and Redwood Bank.  He then spent fifteen years as CFO of Paramount Export Company, an international trading company doing business in forty countries on six continents, and oversaw its growth from $35 million to over $175 million in annual revenue.  international business practices, including letters of credit, documentary collections, currency hedging, and consolidation of multicurrency financial statements.  Subsequently, he joined Cooks Collision as CFO/CIO, providing strategic guidance and building the management reporting systems that allowed the company to double its sales in five years. He has also served as CFO of Salvin Dental Specialties, a privately held distributor of dental implant supplies, and of the Jewish community Federation of the Greater East Bay.  Mr. Wasserman has an MBA from the Sloan School of Management at MIT and a BS in Computer Science, also from MIT.

Pearl Kearley
Senior Accountant

Pearl brings 15 years of experience in a variety of accounting roles across multiple industries to Lucien & Co. Her experience ranges from large multi-billion dollar, multi-national enterprises to early stage companies with no revenue.  This broad base of experience enables her to apply firmly established, standard accounting process and procedure to smaller companies, who most need it, in a manner applicable to the underlying cost constraints of these companies.  She has served in Senior Accounting and Consulting roles at Hytrust, Inc. and Bio Architecture Lab, Inc. and as a Senior Accountant at NEC Electronics America, Inc. where she served 9 for years.  Prior to NEC Pearl served at Stockmaster.com and Shea Homes.  Pearl holds a Bachelors’ degree in Accounting from the Law and Business College, China and a Certificate in Financial Occupational Computerized Accounting.  Her ERP and accounting systems experience includes People Soft, SAP, Quickbooks, JDEdwards, Solomon, Peachtree, Oracle and Navision. She is  fluent (speaking, reading and writing) in Mandarin, Cantonese and English.

Salvador Chavez
Director - Advisory Board


Salvador Chavez brings over 25 yea
rs of business and entrepreneurial experience to Lucien & Co. Mr. Chavez co-founded Remend, Inc. and served as both its CEO and Vice President of Field Operations. Prior to Remend, he served as SVP Collaboration at Citadon, where he was
General Manager of the Product Division and oversaw sales, marketing and product management. Prior to Citadon, Mr. Chavez served as VP of Collaborative Services for Bidcom, where he oversaw, sales, marketing, products and business development. Mr. Chavez holds a BA in Business Administration from the University of San Francisco.


Armando Hernandez
Director - Advisory Board

Armando Hernandez has of over 25 years experience in system and software architecture design and the management of sophisticated worldwide development teams. His broad software design experience ranges from the design and development of web based business applications to real-time media data streaming and device drivers. His hands-on approach enables him to architect, design, develop and manage development teams utilizing a broad variety of proprietary and open source environments, including, Java, J2EE and .NET. Prior to Lucien & Co Mr. Hernandez was Chief Software Architect and Development Manager at Remend, Inc. where he managed a combined US and offshore development and QA group of up to 20 persons. Before joining Remend Mr. Hernandez was Chief Software Architect at Selectica OnDemand, where he architected, designed and developed the company’s extensible metadata-rich and workflow contract management solution and multi-variable auction marketplace applications. Prior to Selectica, he held various management and senior engineering positions at Infoneers Inc, Sonic Solutions, Stellar Software Designs, Mindscape Inc., E-mu Systems/Creative Labs and Oberheim/ECC. He holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from MIT.
